Well, what can I say? Most people
who have been acquainted with anime would probably know who Tenchi is.
Tenchi Muyo is a fun and relaxing series which I think strongly emphasizes
the important of friendship and sacrificing one's own happiness in order
to help others. It also set a good example of proper behaviour toward
others (I'm referring to Tenchi, Sasami (Sammy), and other calm people,
not Aeka nor Ryoko). What else should I talk about, the plot?
Well, I'm sure that you can find plenty of pages on this series which would
also include a briefing on the story.
Basically, this great warrior from a planet far beyond human knowledge (Jurai) came here (Earth) and married after creating peace in his planet. He then became Tenchi's grandfather. One day, the two princesses of Jurai (Aika and Sasami (Sammy) came to meet with Tenchi on Earth and they lived together. Oh yeah, then, there came a lot more female characters. There was Ryoko (an infamous space pirate who fights with Aeka for Tenchi's love) and with her came this stupid looking animal -I think some people might kill me now ^_^- called Ryoki. In addition, there was Ryoko's enemy friend (name......forgot) who came into the story occasionally. More over, there were two weird Intergalactic cops (women) who were stationed on Earth after they were sent to capture Ryoko. Then, Washu The Mad Scientist was discovered after she was imprisoned on Earth. These people soon became friends and had many adventures together. Finally, the hot part came. This is when Tenchi's grandfather's (you may have guessed that I've forgotten his name) old friend (nope, don't remember the name) claimed himself to be the great warrior of Jurai (who was actually the grandfather) and that he had the rightful rule of Jurai. (Was that clear enough?) Then, he ordered that the princesses are to be captured for treason. Now, the friends had to escape from the intergalactic police and Jurai army, and go to Jurai to prove the princesses' innocence. What will happen to Tenchi and his friends next? Well, I think you should watch the series yourself. Oh yeah, there are also many OVA (OAV) on the series which basically have these friends in some kind of weird adventure.
